Its a nice phone but I switched from BB because they are always so far behind the curve. Also as nice as that phone may be for a BB, I would rather keep my nearly 2 year old g1. It came with all those same features and since I rooted it, it has even more now. But like I said, it is a nice phone and hopefully it will be cheap which would make a lot of people who require BB happy.

Yep blackberry has been failing. They will start TP loose market share very soon. the app world on the BB is so Small even webos beats it. Blackberry is failing to evolve with trends.

iPhone #ftw

Just setting up my mom's 9700 for her was enough to turn me off the brand entirely. Nevermind the performance of my good friends' Storm.

I will say the 9800 looks like a pretty nice handset though!

Question for those in the know.

What does iphone have that blackberry doesn't? And I mean, deal breaking technology, not just I can play (insert boring flash game here).

Or is it just a preference thing?

Hi Ian,
It's groundbreaking for BBY. I've had the opportunity to try one (with OS 6) and multimedia-wise, it's finally up to par with iPhone and Android.
It's still not quite as good as the Apple UI/browser but it is 1,000,000 times better than anything BBY had prior.

Cheers

I have a BBY for work and my kids have iTouch. I really like both.
The BBY is on MS Exchange and BES so its great that everything is always wirelessly synced (email, contacts, tasks, cal).
Currently, the iPhone/iTouch safari browser UI is far superior to anything BBY has but that is about to change.
It's all personal preference. It basically comes down to...what do you want/need it for.

Agree, it's definitely personal preference. If you enjoy your Windows computing experience, I'm sure you'll enjoy owning a Blackberry

I cant find anything about a Canadian release date... I've got the Tour right now and it's getting to be a little rough (my own fault, my phones never last more than a year)...

If I can wait to get this before I have to get a bold that'd be awesome.
