He's still in your moms room watching tv.

Apparently.

This thread has been jacked, whoops. Back on topic, sort of. Is there an alternative roots type blower available for our cars to stillens slightly undersized unit? If I end up keeping the vq I think that's the way I'll go ultimately. Perhaps.

i would take a serious look at sasha's mid mount turbo. for the price it looks like a great buy!

when i did a baseline on my car on a mustang dyno it pulled 256/233 whp/wtq with test pipes, exhaust, headers, jwt popcharger w/tube and cobb stage2 map.

If I did turbo the VQ, I would build my own turbo kit. I can't forsee myself spending more than a few thousand bucks on boost. If there were more dollars involved I may as well swap the engine out for something I actually like. Resources are nice.

On the topic of dyno losses vs claimed HP, here's a curve for a NA 3.6L I6 claiming 315HP - at 120,000kms too. Ignore the incorrect crossover due to different scales on HP and torque:

Thanks. One of them is brand new never used. It is a Precision 6262 T4 .68 a/r BB turbo, with a billet wheel. $1300 for a $1500 turbo. If it does not sell it will most likely end up on my car.

If you can tig weld stainless and aluminum, by all means. Ask if you have questions, here is an "idea":

I can't tig very well, but a good friend of mine is an extremely good welder. You have a very nice kit, if I do say. I myself surely wouldn't be able to replicate the workmanship. But seeing as I havnt much disposable income, purchasing any new kit is out of the question, as it is for many of us poor sods.
