Yeah, it seems pretty good to us too, and the price was right.
I'm getting all the inspections done this week so hopefully nothing strange pops up. The owner appears to have spared no expense in building and maintaining the place. I also have a call into the original designer to see if he wants to do some drawings for a small addition, plus attached garage.
I think you're right about the carport. Looks very well built and has a closed section about 5x20 where you see the door. There's a separate power line and meter going to it.

Thanks Wayne.
LOL, your vehicle will stay clean getting to this one. Off main road onto paved private lane and onto paved drive.
Yes, the location is great. It's dead centre looking down the harbour so we're seeing land undulations both sides and a couple of small islands. On one of my pics you can see ice fishermen. About 2kms beyond the place up the harbour it's open water where it doesn't freeze.
Would love to have a Rosborough. However, newbie would be an understatement when it comes to my boat knowledge. Definitely have to unload the other places and more to even dream of that though.

That bay looks like it is very well protected, very nice spot for you and Heather.

haha, when you were there they had just graded the road so it was at it's worst.
I'm with you on access. This one is no sweat other than a little grade up the drive.
Yes, it's very protected. At low tide it's fairly shallow though for sailboats and anything with lots of draft( I think that's what it's called
).
There are 2 marinas fairly close. 1 bigger and 1 tiny

That place looks absolutely fantastic, I hope everything goes in your favor with this place. I would love to find something similar on the west coast, but am way too far off from making real money nevertheless being close to retirement haha.
Looks amazing, Deane. Congratulations.
Having been retired for a year now we're just starting to look for a place outside the city ourselves. We want to stay in the Ottawa area (or an hour or two west) near the kids. The plan is to buy an acre or two and build, but we may consider the right existing home if we stumbled on it.
Any firm plans for retirement?

^Thanks.
Hope you're loving retirement Craig. I can understand exactly what your reasoning would be for staying in the ballpark of where you are now. Building would certainly get you exactly what you want.
My wife is set on June 2012. With me it's a wait and see right now.

Deal is done, after some horsetrading following several inspections etc.
Now we can get on to selling our place. Anyone that knows people looking a good sized place in Dartmouth, NS please feel free to PM me!
