Yes you still require sanding if I remember correctly however no hot spots. Mine are pretty good since he switched to wide angle led in my cluster....

 

You can't sand the 05+ because the orange is on the front, just swap out the LEDs. With red LEDs you can't even tell that there is an orange film on it.

 

so you can't do white leds cuz it will only show up at orange for 05+?

 

For now you can't do white. There is a company I read somewhere that is prototyping with a custom faceplate and once that goes on sale you will be able to do white.

 

You can do the rings white since its a circle and very easy to sand off but the rest is impossible.

^ that's the company. How is it around the odometer since the stock one is indented in that spot and goes lower and this on is flat?

 

^Supposed to fit just like OEM, it just doesn't have the indented spot in the middle. I'll post up pics of everything once its done.

Still need to change the leds in the cluster from what I understand. Because this one doesn't have the amber film on it the color will shine through perfectly even. This is the only pic I've seen of the gauge cluster.

 

Marcus, would have sent you a PM but your file is full. I'd like to convert my dash to the same color blue LEDs my Autometer cobalt gauges have. Did you get your dash completed and by whom? What are we looking at cost wise $300 +/-?
