Need Help With Exhaust

Hey everyone, I am new here and have a question about my exhaust that maybe you guys could give me the answer to. I have Stillen headers, Stillen hi flow cats, and Stillen duel exhaust. With all those parts installed I have a horrible raspy sounding exhaust in 2nd 3rd and 4th gear soon as I hit 3000 rpm. I called Stillen and they said it is because I am running high flow cats. So I took it to an exhaust shop and they couldn't figure out the problem. They said my resonators maybe to small or that there is something in my mufflers. I guess what I need help with is, do any of you guys have or had this problem with Stillen? How should I go about fixing this, or should I just buy something else? What exhaust would you recommend?

Thanks,

VERMEGA

resonators usually fix the problem of raspy-ness. its your cheapest fix as opposed to buying different setups.

Haha. Sorry to burst your bubble, but a supercharger won't plug upyour exhaust like a turbo :P. I think your best bet is to research what other folks in your situation have done. Adding resonators is an idea, or selling the stillen and buying something more muffled, or have one built.

^+1 supercharger will only amplify the rasp
stillen exhausts on our cars are known to rasp A LOT from the way it is designed
it was really difficult for me (i mean it) with hear the exhaust with a set of test pipes

simply just get a new cat-back if you can't stand the sound, or have a shop to do a custom job and weld a bigger and better muffler somewhere around the middle of the piping

don't ppl get alot of rasp out of after market hi-flow cats? so either but stock cats back on, or put good resonators in your catback or, another set of hi-flow cats in your cat-back.... which i doubt anyone would wanna do... good luck

i had a 04 g35 sedan with a stillen true dual catback and it did not have much rasp at all... so needless to say i really like my stillen products!

Thanks for all the help guys. Once I move to Ontario from Alberta I will find a good shop and might just get something custom done.
