Cost of fixing G37S Coupe wheels

Hi guys,

I've been randomly looking for a good deal on a set of coupe 19's. I'm in no rush what so ever.
I found these on kijiji in GTA. They look a little beaten but not beyond repair.
- Any ideas who could fix these?
- Are they worth fixing at the sellers asking price?
- Would you wait until something better comes along in coupe 19's?

Thanks

I may but at the same time, I like the coupe 19's as well.

There's a couple companies in Oregon that do wheel restoration relatively inexepensive. Obviously the price depends on the damage, but it's usually around 150 to make all 4 look newish. They do it on the car with tires on, so it alleviates alot of the head ache associated with that.
If they dont have tires, it's really not that difficult to fix them yourself. A bit of patience and sand paper you can get them all smoothed out. Then either spray some rattle can wheel paint (clear or a color) or take it to a shop to get painted. You can prob get away with spending under 20 to fix em if your willing to do the work.

Hey Paul... not sure they're worth it.
Those will cost you at least $200 a wheel to repair & refinish.

You should be able to get a good set in the $850 range.

^ Thanks Ian. I wondered if it would end up costing more than they are worth on the 'used' market. I'll wait, plus there's a couple other after market wheels I am really starting to like too.
I'm also on the lookout for 4@225/50-18 winter wheels if anyone comes across a set before I see them...with or with out the rubber. I'll post a WTB in the classifieds.

Well, let me know, my new rims are coming in tomorrow and I'm going to be selling off the rims on my Z sometime this week.

19" 10.5 rear and 9.5 front
I'm looking to get like $750-$800, but without the tires

Those are beautiful on the Z but I don't think they suit the G. Maybe it's just me.

just a suggestion, but I mean you could easily find some nice aftermarket rims in the price you are going to spend on buying and repairing those oem ones

Matt, Paul is going for a simple clean set up. +22 10.5 (aka camber and stretch for a sedan) is not his style.

Paul, if you give me an idea of a style you're looking for I'll keep an eye out for you!

if the wheels are in good condition (not those ones) a tire shop can remove the rubber and any good powdercoater can sand blast and coat any color or finish you want. the guy i use is a full on machine/fabrication shop that makes
custom bike and snowmobile parts... from scratch and coats them all in house.
he isnt the only guy and he isnt cheap but Ive seen his work and he always puts the finished product ahead of the $

FWIW I've had good luck in buying rims from the US on our classified site and shipping to my door.
