Damn.... sad to see Shane, but definitely could have been worse.

I almost had the same thing after our trip south.
Pulled into a lot 15min from home to say goodbye to one of our friends.
While we were standing there a lady in a Benz was backing towards my car.
Luckily we were there & she stopped about a foot away with us hooting & hollering at her.

She rolled her window down & said "but my sensors didn't go off"

Oh yeah, definitely could of been MUCH worse Ian. One of the reasons I wasn't quick to pull the insurance card on this woman.

Brutal story about the lady in the Benz. WTF did she do before sensors? Just backed up until she hit something?

i actually hit someone a month ago exactly that way. i was in a literally 10m street. and trying to turn in to main road, since im such a gentleman i backed out lil bit to give some room to this girl who was riding her bicycle. changed to reverse and 1 sec after bammmm.thank God the distance was so close nothing happened but i bent her licence(it was a Pontiac g5) plate little bit. All i had to do was apologize and gave my contact incase something comes up. Lucky break though!

Ouch Shane! That hurts to see! Atleast the Flex was able to power it out!

Good job! It looks good. Pretty cool of you to fix it yourself!

I finished the front bumper this morning. Overall, I am pleased with how it turned out. I'll call the woman this evening and let her know that she has nothing to worry about insurance wise.

What you just did was very nice Shane and it appears to have turned out very good. I hope she realizes how lucky she is.
Now, hopefully when you call her number you don't get the Chinese Laundromat, lol

Unbelievable what a person who knows what they're doing can achieve. Must admit I'm very impressed with how this was handled. Very, very well done, sir.
