Scammed By Downtown Infiniti
Hey guys, I took my car into downtown Infiniti in Toronto to have the b-pillars repaired under rust warrant, 3 weeks later I get a call from the advisor that my car was ready today. I went to pick up my car today only to notice that my headlights had been swapped with some old cracked, battered oxidized headlights. I was furious, I even took pictures before I dropped the car off. The dealer & body shop are denying that they had anything to do with it, which doesn't surprise me. I was advised by Infiniti head office to take my car at this location and I knew of all the bad reviews that some of you have had, but I had no choice. Check out the pics, it's so evident. I'm just trying to figure out me next step, I can't let them get away with this!

Hate to break it you, but those are the same lights. When a car gets painted (especially the full side of it or 2...) they need to bake the whole car in the oven. 90% of the time they do it the headlights oxidize. Another thing could be that you had wax on the light and the wax has baked itself dry and damaged the lens.
BUT, I could be wrong but so could you. So before you slander a businesses name you might want to figure out exactly what happened.
Go get them buffed and see what happens.

The lenses are actually cracked around the perimeter and the funny thing is when I popped my hood to further inspect the lights, the one side wire harness wasn't even plugged in.
Then you may have an issue. Only thing I need to ask now is, how could you see the harness from just popping the hood? The harnesses are tucked behind the rad support. You need to either have the light out or the fender liner back to see the harnesses.
There's a wire harness that sits behind the headlight that you can see under the hood. You must be reffering to the actual ignitor that hooks up to the hid bulb, that I agree, only access is through the liner.

I dunno, I've worked on a gazzlion sets of G35 headlights, I can never see the harness that plugs into the headlight (the multipin connecter that is ziptied to the rad support and on the slide pin on the back on the headlight)
If they keep screwing you around just call Nissan/Infiniti head office and bitch their ear off, lay out all the facts and tell them this isn't how you want to be treated by what's said to be an upper echelon of car manufactures. They'll straighten up real quick lol

Holy 4uck everyone had a bad weekend!
At the VERY least I'd expect that someone at the dealership would state that this would happen to a set of headlights during the warranty work... or take steps to avoid it? I don't know the process exactly but I would absolutely lose my **** if I went in for warranty and the car looked worse coming out than it did going in.
So either way, whether 4DGS is right and it's part of the process or the OP is right and he had his headlights swapped... I think a normal person would AT LEAST expect an acknowledgement that "yes, clearly something has happened and we're going to figure out what."
Good luck with your pursuit of resolution!
