Winter/Spring 2011/2012 Mod Thread - CANADA
My last twin wasn't slipping at 609ftlbs of torque(that I noticed) so I figured it would hold 650whp maybe more. I looked all winter for a used triple .....I will likely end up regretting not going triple. As for the N2O I will have to get 2 bottles because I will be purging at every light so everyone knows I have it

I guess I can finally tell you guys...I have a brand new full authentic Nismo kit sitting in my garage, painted EM and ready to be installed.
Sorry I don't have any pictures of it just yet.

I love that 1st gen sedan Nismo
i cant wait to see itPretty sure I am going to get a triple plate clutch now, ya I know I was not looking to spend anymore money on the car than i have to at this point but I think it will be my weakest point so i should do it right the first time, on that note i have a 3" exhaust on the way and I have a brand spanking new Exedy twin plate clutch that I would Sell for $1,500 that covers my cost on it.

yesterday installed my MREV2 + 5/16 spacer Copper Iso thermal

pic of MREV2

pic of intake manifold

Complete

And I had to put the sticker cause everyone knows stickers add 10hp!!!
Overall havent really felt to much of extra power.... Big thing I did notice however is how smooth the engine revs up now!

Here's the real story. Incredibly, a full BNIB kit popped up locally on Kijiji late in January. Having slept on a bumper last year and missed out, I pounced on this one. It was a decent deal, but RED. Took me til late March to line up a painter, but I got the work done last week.
What was SUPPOSED to happen, was I was supposed to post that I had one on April Fool's Day, you guys (especially Gord) were supposed to call me out on it, given the date and knowing full well how I am...shall we say, reticent to part with funds.

Then I would roll up to the first meet all Nismo'd up, and you would all curse me and my ancestors, which I always enjoy.
So now that it wouldn't be such a complete surprise and Gord kindly offered to help with the install, I will gladly accept -- just not this week. Can't do anything Tuesday night and after that it's going to turn cold. So since I need help more than I need to surprise anyone, if Gord or anyone else doesn't mind lending a hand (with my busted elbow I only have about one and a quarter to work with), I will graciously accept, provide pizza, steak, beer, etc.
I'm around on the weekend, too.So LMK if/when you are available, no huge rush though I'm understandably keen to get 'er bolted up. I've looked over the instructions and it's probably a good half-day's work.
Gord, you're welcome to come over for a looksee anytime, not just for the install.
In the meantime, full disclosure:

I was just logging in to see if you wanted me to come over and help instal it this week.
