17" snow tire for Brembo?

I will be getting my 6MT soon, just a little worry about snow in the coming year. Anyone ever install 17" snow tires for 6MT (with Brembo)? If so, what kind of rim did you install?

not to worry ... Infiniti has a winter rim and tire package .. I think they are around 1600 bucks...
BUT, for that much bread you may wanna consider if you are going to get new rims and or use the 18s as snows ??? and just buy tires?

the time will come .. not sure what I am gonna do, but now would be better to buy than in the winter.

later g

that's true. I think it's the best time right now to shop around first.

I have 17" Special Edition Fox Fives with Blizzak LM-22's. Check them out on tirerack.com.. I bought mine from talontire.com in Montreal. There are very few 17" rims that fit over the Brembos, make sure yours will before you buy them! Tire dealers should have much more experience with the brakes now.. when I got mine it was a real pain trying to figure out which rims fit.

TripleQ, do you have a pic of you winter rims and tires on your car? I like to see how they look and how close they are to the caliper. Do you know the width of the rim and the offset of it?

Warning: I didn't buy them for looks.

Front: LM-22 225/50/17
Rear: LM-22 235/50/17

The Pirelli SnowSport 210's also come in the correct sizes.. and Mille Miglia HT3's are also known to fit over the Brembos

There was a huge thread before the winter on freshalloy.com about winter tires and rims.. might want to poke around there for much more info. There should be some 18" winter tires available for next winter, but I would recommend dedicated 17" rims to prevent damaging the factory rims.

They're pretty darn close to the calipers.. offset, i don't remember.. does 30mm sound right?

Thanks for the pics. They don't look all that bad, as long as they are 17" and they serve the purpose. That's all it matters. 30 offset sure sounds fine, that should be it. Thanks very much.

I've got the Blizzak's on the factory 18" rims (M6) - the other option was Pirelli's but Blizzaks were cheaper and, apparently, better traction. Cost was about $1800 (tax included) through the Manitoba Infiniti dealer - used them for a couple of months in late Winnipeg winter and was satisfied with them.

Re: 17" snow tire for Brembo?

hummm...
but i don't know should i get a winter tire for it or not,
first of all, since i am leasing the car, and 4 yrs after it's not mine no more, then is it worth to get the winter tire for it?
but it is RWD, and winter driving should be a real problem since i got the performance package with summer tire...
i'm wondering should i buy the winter tire or not, or just drive my parent's jeep when there is snow and stuff....

so, any suggestion?

Carlos3186, those rims do look great, but since you don't have brembo, I don't know if they will fit onto my car. I am afraid they won't clear the caliper...

You have to buy snow tire, even just the cheap cheap used one. Our sweet Pilot Sport will get cold and freezed and sliding everywhere even there is only 0.1" snow.

You may drive ur parent's jeep you want. But you have to drive it whole winter, cuz you won't able to 100% sure it won't have snow that day. Just my $0.02

HT3 are known to clear the brembos. The SE Fox Fives are the other cheapish 17" rim that also clears the calipers. Check on tirerack.com, they will show which ones clear the brakes and how they look on the coupe.
