Hopefully it's a test drive and not a roll for your sake and the cars sake.

What a blast...The Mini S is pretty nifty...I just kept thinking, Boy I wish I could take my G to this track...
The pics don't do it justice...I should have taken a few sound bites of my screetching tires!

a few more...someone did manage to ruin one (no roll, though) by popping it in reverse while speeding through the track...

I did see another G in the parking lot....hmmmm...I wonder if they thought the same thing I thought.

btw...no cone tipping fees came my way!

looks like it was a lot of fun . my wife has an '05 cooper s... and the thing is a blast to drive. it's a little slower than the G but u don't really notice because of the small size and zippy engine. there's lag up to about 3000 then the s/c'er really kicks in. i also find the handling to be top notch for a vehicle of it's caliber.

I did this on Sunday and it was a blast. My GF is looking into getting a Mini CooperS and so I thought what better than to register for this. Was so fun! There is no way a G could handle on this track. The pylons where just too close together making the lane just wide enough for the Mini. Even if the lane was more wide, our G's would not be able to come close to the handling of the Mini. I have sway bars on my G too.

The Mini is definitely a nice car to drive once in a while if my girl gets it, but I personally would not.

BurntRenolds > Do you drive a black coupe and were you wearing a hat when you were there, if on Sunday?

I'm sure that was a blast and you weren't even having to beat on your own car. How many cars and people were out there?

Each hour had about 20-30 people and about 12 cars. 3 in each pit lane with both auto and manual cars. It truely was good times.

Yeah that was me....You are right about the handling but I would have liked to give it a shot with my G anyways...Hey did you try the Mini with the F1 triptronic? I could have sworn that the guy said there was one but I didn't drive it...

Cool. I was leaving as you were heading in. I think all the Auto CVT tranny Mini's have the Steptronic and paddle shifting. I drove an auto and manual Mini S.
