I need to replace my tires very soon.
I need to replace my tires very soon.
and I'm looking for the best place to deal with. (In this case, 'the best place' means 'the cheapest place').
The best price I've found so far is $450 for Micheline Pilot sports 225/45/18.
Does anybody know any shop with cheaper price for Micheline?

Re: I need to replace my tires very soon.
My stock tires are a set of Bridgeston Re040(350z) and it's worst tire you can ever imagine. Long story short, look at this and see what 350Z owners complain -> http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....=Potenza+RE040
Its 'Would Buy Again?' point is the lowest in the site. I understand why...
Bridgeston S03 looks pretty good but I'm too disappointed with Re040, so I never going back to Bridgeston camp again.
G35C has Micheline Pilot sports, so a lot of 350Z guys are whining about that. I'm jealous too!
Thanks for reply though

I got the quote - $450 for Micheline Pilot sports - from Tire Depot in North York. Usually dealership price is unbelievably high.Scarboro Nissan quote me $800 for just one fxxking tire!!! Never go to dealership for tires!!!
ps. My mileage is just about 20000 km. My front tires have serious cubbing problem and only 10% of thread is left for the rear tires. arrrrrgggggggghhhhh

Suggest you check with the guys at one of the Active Green and Ross stores in TO- I had good luck with the guys on Eglington in Mississauga, but if you really like the Pilots, expect to open the wallet wide.
The S-03 Pole Position from Bridgestone rates higher than the Pilots on www.tirerack.com, with performance numbers to back up the claim, and is substantially less expensive. I am of the belief however, that performance on the Pilots is more consistent across the ownership of the tires (graceful degradation), a fact that would not show up in their testing. The RE040s are a disappointment- I expect Nissan will use Pilots or Pole Positions on next year's car.
Two of my bro-in-laws are Michelin employees, so while I've tried a number of others on previous cars, there is no doubt as to what I will replacing these shoes with.
For the G, recommended pressure with the Pilots is 35 psi. I have found 33 in back and 34 in front to be better for grip (less "skatey") and also provide extremely even wear.
Let us know how you make out.
Cheers,
Derek

I would suggest you go to Steelecase Tires which located in Woodbine/Steeles area. They always offer me the cheapest price. I just got my 235/35R19 Toyo T1-S from them last month after I got 5 other stores' quote.

Tire Depot is usually very cheap for tires. I know quite a few friends that have bought from them. I have used both Michelin and Bridgestone tires in the past. Both companies have certain tires in their product line that aren't that great. But I know psychologically you'll probably feel better going with the Michelins after your current experience.
