06 G35 Coupe Head Lights
Hey guys .... might sounds like a stupid question.... but man.... i have 05 g35 coupe... and i'm really envying the 06 head lights.... just wondering if its possible to somehow... replace my 05 head light with 06 .... ?? how if its the same fitting?

wait..... does that mean.... does the 06 headlamp .... is a perfect fit for 05 head light..... no change in fitting?
ya i would probably want the full package... not the the frame... probably want the bulbs and converters.... so on~ i was jsut wondering if .... if 06 , fits perfectly into 05 ones.....

Others on the forum have installed them and say they are a direct fit. I'm thinking of ordering a set myself.

Oh man that would be awesome..... ya.. i'll get back to you when i'm ready.....just trying to get some more info..... i just called the dealer today about swapping the 06 headlight to my 05.... and they said..... they would not even recommend that... and no dealers would even do it because of the wiring? .... i thought the head light was just plug and play???? so i'm confused..... and they also said... my warrantee would be cancelled if i ever did swap it....
Maybe it can just be my dealer..... can anyone give me more insights... or know how other dealers respond to this head lights swapping? ...
They also estimated around $4000!!! thats crazy.. just hanged up right away after hearing the cost lol

I do not know the cost yet as I have not asked him. The idea of swaping it there but I am not going to do it just yet. For one My main concern is performance enhancement mods more so then anything else.

And as I understand it (from the other discussion threads) the housing is a direct fit, BUT, uses D2S bulbs, not the D2R bulbs that 03-05 have in it. Secondly, the projector swap was never a consideration because to buy from dealerships meant buying the ENTIRE setups, bulbs, ballasts and housings. Now, with the '06 setups, they are selling just the housing, which should make it far more feasible. The US guys in the threads are saying they've found as cheap as $300 US (some I'm a little surprised by those ebay listing prices)
The only thing, I think that the discussions could not agree upon was whether the '06 projectors were bi-xenon or not.
That's just my two cents,
