Canadian Gold

Congratualtions to Team Canada after winning gold medal last night. It was a great game with total team effort. It is good to see the gold medal staying in Canada for another year. Great job boys!

Right on. That was an incredible win. Canada played absolutely awesome.
Shame about the Russian goal which should have been. It wouldn't have changed the outcome though.
They need two refs in that level of hockey and a goal judge who can see.
Nevetheless it's ours for another year!

I was only able to catch the last period.....

What a great bunch of kids.... they really bought into Sutter's team philosophy.
The Russians looked very frustrated by the time I tuned in...

Sounds like Pogge did a great job in the first period untill they got going.

Way to go Canada

I agree Deane, that Russian goal definitely should of counted. It probably would have given the Russian team some momentum, but Canada still would of come out on top.

Sutter's 12-0 record speaks for itself!

I missed most of it due to looking after the kids, but was glad to see the final victory...

The medal is in it's rightful place again......

I don't think it would have mattered if they had tripled the refs and goal judges. The only camera that showed it clearly was the in-goal unit which is only a foot or two from the ice. The way Pogge had his legs wrapped around the post and his rear low over is heels, a goal judge or ref would have to have his head in the net with his chin on the ice to see the same thing. Without the slowmo, I doubt they could see it even then.

But I agree with you on everything else. A great effort from great bunch of young men and coaches.
