Brake pad + rotor prices?

Hi guys - I did a search but nothing came up recently since most folks are under the 3/60k warranty for brakes. I'm over it (90k+) and my brakes are finally going (pads were replaced at 40k), so I know I'm overdue for pads but the dealership mentioned that my rotors were looking bad too. They quoted me for OEM pads/rotors but I think the quote is way high.

What have people typically been paying for pads, rotors, and install?

Thanks!

(edit - if you guys have gone aftermarket like Hawks HPS, where are you getting them, tirerack?)

Hey Picus12,
Here' what I paid, all was OEM.
This was on another thread. Good luck.
Sam
Short story, I would recommend Guelph, Ralph in service is good. Karen or Heather is/are gone. Chris in parts was also very knowledgable and willing to give me time to work out a tire issue.
Long story. Once upon a time ........
I took my G into Guelph after I had some work done at Dixie Infiniti. Guelph checked out some items Dixie recommended but did not do ( too long a story ). They did the brakes, replaced two rotors and macnined two. Dixie wanted to replace all 4 rotors. They also did the throttle body and injector flush. $1300 all in, and I got to drive a 2006 Maxima for the day. AND they did not recommend a transmission flush that Dixie said I needed. (Which I watched being done to the G two weeks previously while having the oil changed. I kept this a secret... kinda test for the stealerships. Dixie O , Guelph 1.

Ian, I was also considering upgrading my rotors/pads, do you recall how many $$ for shipping and were there any duties etc. I should worry about.

Thanks, Peter

Peter, I got mine the indirect route....
They were purchased from Racing Brake by someone else,
who then decided to go BB kit instead, he sold them to me.

Since they were already on the north side of the 49th,
I didn't have to worry about duty. (for once)

Duty will be like anything else..based on cost of product.
Shipping?...I'm not sure.

The Racing Brake rotors are great quality...
They design & make their own.
I'd get them again in a heart beat.

Many 3rd party resellers just buy blanks from elsewhere then just finish them.

I had a look over the site. I must say I was impressed with what I read in relation to exactly what you said about other 3rd party sellers. When it comes to brakes there is a large variation in quality of material and construction between manufacturers.

Wow, by reading their website it seemed that they put in a lot of R&D into their brakes, especially their two piece rotors. I was even considering one of their BBKs.
