Pity Calgary didn't have their 'A' game last evening.
'Grats to the Mighty Ducks who did play well, and who will give Edmonton a run for their money in the next round.

Go Oilers.....

Our city is in mourning, but the bottom line is that the Flames didn't show up for Game 6 and Game 7. I watched yesterday's Game and was disappointed with how they played. Regehr was interviewed and said that the Ducks outplayed the Flames at their own game. The Ducks had a faster skating team, did a better job of staying out of the penalty box (unlike the Flames in their horrific Game 6), and actually SHOT the puck at the net! In the second period yesterday, it took the Flames forever took get a shot on goal. The Ducks goalie wasn't even tested. Nobody was ever parked in front of the Anaheim net, and all in all they seemed sluggish.

Their lack of secondary scoring power finally did them in. Say goodbye to the playoffs, and say hello to the golf courses.

Congrats to the Ducks.

Yeah, it's too bad for the Flames.......The Alberta series would have been a 'smoker'.

They just couldn't put their game together at all. Seemed like they were tired.

The Edmonton/Kali series might be a good one. Didn't a Kali team lure 'The Great One' away from them once long ago? GRRRRRRR.

Kind of unbelievable that #1, #2, #3, and #4 seeds in the west went out in the first round. Now the battle is between the bottom 4 seeds...anyone has a shot at winning the western conference. Should be fun to watch

Very believable about the 1,2,3, and 4 seeds winning in the East like they were all favoured to do.
I guess I have to cheer for Ottawa vs Edmonton final since they are our only Candaian hopes...bring that cup home boys.

LOL, Ian, now they're down 3-0......I'd say they're pretty much 'cooked' now.

If tonights game with the Ducks is any indication of the series to come then it's going to be an edge of your seat series. I thought the Ducks might even pull it out tonight. After playing the game for 19 yrs, I watch with interest to see this level of intensity regardless of which teams are playing. Ain't it great!

Even I'm enjoying this level of hockey. Great time of year.

Wow, as a die hard Oil fan, this sure has been a fun playoff season to watch. The Oil are playing with such intensity, heart, and determination....even though a good portion of the players are playing sick. Nothing you can do but admiire the way they have been playing.

When I was in Boston the last few days, I couldn't even find the game on TV! Now that I am back home, I won't miss a game!

GO OILERS!!!!!!!

Great game... but they sure ran out of gas.
Good thing it didn't go into OT.

Hopefully they get the brooms out & finish it off.
They could really use some R & R
