Kudos to you guys!
We are all very proud of our team and our City and are trying hard to set an example for the entire league. I was around for the wins in the 80's but for a whole new generation, this is a first and everyone in their 20's are so lucky for their first Stanley Cup experience. I do envy them, I remember how good it felt back then. Winning or losing, our fans support our team.
Part time cashier. She is 17 and still in school. What a great night to start this job. I dropped her off at 2:00 this afternoon, she had training before the game. Our local radio station K-Rock had a tailgate party going on already and the crowds were gathering with the party underway. My daughter was pretty excited about it all. Kind of a carnival atmosphere, and that's 4 hours before the puck dropped! I wonder if her ears are ringing

So I picked my daughter up at the Train Station. She was a cashier at a beer booth. She met a guy who flew here from Nashville to see the Oilers and a guy from Toronto who jumped the counter, gave her a kiss and a big tip. She said atmosphere was electric. Everyone was partying and chanting for the Oilers. She saw Messier there. She got to watch the last half hour of the game as well. She is so glad she got the job, she made more in tips than wages.
