Yeah, I was pretty happy that the officials didn't get in the way of the two teams playing all out. It was a great game, no question. The Canes came out flying (which I figured they would), and the early goal seemed to have an effect on the Oilers.

I am obviously quite dissappointed that the Oil didn't win, but they played their heart out and had one heck of a playoff run......for that you have to be very proud of them.

Great series! Both teams played amazing last night. An amazing effort by the Oilers. The Canes just out performed them last night.

Losing bites big time, but hey, the Oil made us all proud to even be there representing, and played their hearts out.

Full marks to the 'Canes who played like champs.... , bust out the Champagne in Mayberry...

They should enjoy the cup while they can because they'll have 6 Canadian teams fighting to bring it home to the GWN next year.

Congrats to both teams.

Colin.

IMO, I think it might of been a different outcome if Conklin didn't give away the game winner in game one. Oh well, woulda coulda shoulda, right? There is no question the Canes played excellent hockey.

Hats off to the Canes, they deserved to win last night. Oilers have nothing to be ashamed about, we're proud of you.

yea, the canes out hussled the oilers. I guess the 7 games have taken the toll on the players. the Oilers could barely skate during that game. It was pretty painful to watch them kill off their own power plays by just passing the puck around though...they barely took any shots during their power plays!
