Congrats to the Oilers!!

Man, I am not sure if anyone caught the game last night, but what a doozie! That third period was some of the most exciting hockey I've watched in awhile. As a die hard Oilers fan, I am pretty damn ecstatic about them knocking out the number one seed. I was hoping Calgary would finish their season last night as well, hopefully tomorrow night. The battle of Alberta would be a fun series to watch.....just like old times.

+1 !!!

I'm happy for the Oilers, but my good ol' Flames need to stay out of the bad-dog box and carry through.

A Battle of Alberta resurrection would be AWSOME!

That's too bad Ian, you missed the best period of the entire playoffs so far!

Ya the best period in the playoffs so far by a mile...This town lives and breaths hockey...It doesnt get any more pumped up then right now...If we do end up playing the Flames, hold on to your hats it will be the best series of the year even if it is a sweep...The fan excitment and the intensity will be off the charts.....
Fricken Unbelievable!!!

LOL, me too...........I'll have to watch more of the next series, and let's hope it's with the Flames.
Haven't watched much of the Oilers since Gretz., Mess., and Kurry were there. Sounds like I've been missing something.

Yeah, the Oilers and the Flames seem to always go especially hard at each other. A 'Battle of Alberta' would definitely be exciting. Of course, I'd like the Oilers to come out on top!

A collegue that lives about 20 blocks from the Whyte Ave area where the celebrations occured last night, said he could hear the revellers from his house.

I'd like to see the Oilers come out on top as well. Wow, that must of been some loud celebrations to hear it from 20 blocks!! I guess when you haven't made it by the first round in 8 years fans get excited.

LOL, Shane, wait 'til the Oilers and Flames get together....20 blocks will be nothing -- I'll bet I could hear the roars from here.

Go Flames tonight, then go Flames and Oilers in the next series. WOOOOOHOOOOOO

YA They said on the news that 30,000+ people were ripping up whyte ave that night. They closed down the street to traffic to keep the people a little safer. With all those people it didnt sound like they and any big problems either...everyone partied together.
Next round should be even better....We Want the Flames!!!
