Too bad the Oilers couldn't pull it off last night. They just didn't seem to play with the same intensity like they had in game 3. Some of the penalty calls (against both teams) I thought was very questionable. It just seems to take away from the game. Anyways, hats off to the Canes, they have been playing extremely well.

I am not counting the Oil out yet, but they've got their work cut out!

i agree. the canes just seemed to play a better game. i don't know what it is... but i find watching the oilers play frustrating. they don't seem to be connecting their passes cleanly and are fumbling the puck a lot. something else that aggravates me is that once in a while they seem to have a good clean rush going and then instead of trying to shoot towards the net the player will all of a sudden hit the breaks... pull a 360 and either try to pass back or screws it all up and loses the puck. the final minute was by far the worst... they just couldn't get organized at all. gonna keep my fingers and eyes crossed for the next game.

Yup.. it was a tough one last night....

I sure wish they could get untracked on the PP.
Seems like no one wants the puck...
a couple of times they were right in the slot & passed back instead of shooting
They also seemed intent on working the blue line instead of getting their hands dirty, down deep.

Sure hope they can find themselves for game 5.

Yep, I definitely agree. They are not putting the puck at the net no where near as much as in their previous series. Too many passes and not enough shots at the net.....with guys in front as well for a tip in or a rebound. It has been quite obvious that if Ward can see, he is gonna stop it.

I think the Oilers lost their collective spark when they blew that 3-0 lead and lost the game. They haven't had any confidence or determination since then. Before that (including previous series), they looked like a team possessed.

It would be great to see them pull it off - but winning 3 in a row against the Canes isn't likely to happen with the kind of hockey they're playing, and the goaltending they're getting out of Ward.

I hope the 'hungry' team shows up and proves that they can make a contest out of this.

GO OIL!

I think the Oilers have been out-classed this series! Sloppy play, can't seem to score on power plays, etc.

But they played well tonight! Still out-classed, but I think they deserved to win on effort alone, and they managed to pull it off.

And Pisani's from the old neighbourhood that I grew up in! Little Italy's gonna be extra proud tonight!
