trying 2 figure out computer
k i have the cash now to put in a screen with the housing but dont know what to get at all i found a screen and housing at http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...3Doff%26sa%3DN
but it doesnt come with a comp any1 know what to get??

You have a lot of reading ahead of you. I planned my carpc for 2 months and having it installed as we speak, should hopefully be all complete monday. Here is the thing I had to consider.
- Are you doing touch screen or just a normal lcd? Touchscreens have more of a reflective screen and mounting one up in the stock navi location (where that mount will sit) could get annoying with sun glare.
- Another option for your lcd mount is to pick up a double din kit, I dont know what year your coupe is but here is an example of the ddkit and ac controls for the ddkit this will enable you to mount your screen where the stock headunit is and avoid most glare issues.
after that comes the fun part, check out the mp3car store just for some examples you could either buy a prebuilt car pc or you could piece one together yourself. You could use a home pc but would have to look into addons like ac>dc power as well as shutdown controllers (not needed to get a carpc done but very useful)
After you have your screen, pc and wiring figure out you will need a frontend. And of course many options here. The more popular ones are Streetdeck, Centrafuse and Roadrunner. They all have a lot of functionality but some are more difficult to setup and configure then others.
I would suggest heading over to mp3car they will have all the information you could want between their store and forums.
Good luck, expect a lot of reading and a lot of confusion many people have different views on the same hardware and software. if you have any questions ask away I am sure someone will reply fairly quickly.

I'm also more than willing to ask specific questions; however, like Meth said, you need to do a good bit of research on your own, over at mp3car, before you know what to ask.
