Yeah that sounds good. I think the shielded cables should do the job for you or a ground loop isolator if you're grounding points are solid.

Wow. Major, major propz, dawg.
This is how I was envisioning to setup the CarPC on my G35, but I went to the lazy route and just ordered myself a UMPC/MID (Viliv S5) and plan to just connect it via Aux input to my stock Bose stereo...
Sorry, if you already mentioned it, but what software are you using for your UI?

Very nice install and props to the both of you. I just have one question to ask, if you may answer it..
For the sound, do you take the factory speaker and its wire, tap it in a aftermarket amp, and then using the input on the amp, connect it with the output on the PC? If you have a subwoofer? I have a currently LOC connected to the stock headunit, should I just continue using that? Or something else?
Appreciate it.

if you're going aftermarket radio you can connect your pc out directly into the aux on the radio. I went without a radio and just tapped into my factory speaker harness. Removed the bose amp and installed my 4 channel kenwood amp that I had and cut the blue plug that was connected to the bose (that gave me all my speaker wires)

Hey man I noticed that you had an iphone too. I found an app that can work as your mouse/keyboard/and remote for in your case roadrunner. Works over wifi so you can create an ad hoc network locally and get it all worked out. I have it all up and going with my centrafuse but I need to work on few last hot keys.

Yeah looks like you're local too. I'd have to check out some of your work but I actually do know a handful of people interested in some custom fab work.

I've got some work on my website, and more on www.ungarocustomdesigns.shutterfly.com I share the shop with a killer high performance company, so we can have you covered on that end too.

As far as the noise issues....good rca cables may help, when I did my Carputer, I had the same issue, ended up getting better quality shielded cables which helped a little, keeping the cables away from the pc and not next to power lines helped out alot more though. You may also want to look at the pac unit itself as a source of noise too. Try routing your audio cabling away from dc lines and the HD itself can be a huge source of EMI noise. External sound card could be another choice too.
