Is an artificial shammy or cotton towel better

The guy who details my car said that a shammy is more likly to sctach than a cotton town. What do you guys think.

I said this in the other post, but: Microfiber. Best. Good luck with keeping the black beautiful... check out my car in the Rides section, and you'll see that it's possible to keep them looking good with care and non-abbrasive cleaning.

I use the artificial shammy to get off excess water and then cotton towel (USA made only per Zaino recommendation) to finish drying. Works well for me. No swirls or scratches. Just a shiny Zainoed finish.

A good quality microfiber kicks everything else in the but, no doubt about it. The microfiber is light years better than 100% terrycloth cotton.

True, the absorber works great, it's just not as suple as a microfiber cloth.
