Bird Mishap Need!
Bird Mishap Need!
For those who have the Ivory Pearl color what do you use to get bird dropping stains out of the paint? Just found the the crap on my passenger door and it dried up and left a stain...I bought something but its not doing much...Any suggestions would be of great help
Ah man, thats exactly what i was trying to get off today. Is the spot yellow after you wipe off the crap?
I tried a few things, rubbing alcohol, vinegar and Goof Off 2.
Goof Off 2, the water based one, worked best. I took out about 90% of the yellow after a LONG time of rubbing. I got frustrated and stopped, but im gonna finish it later. If you have patience then its worth a shot.

the same thing happened to me recently. i was actually going to take it in to get professionally detailed, but a few days later the stain disappeared on it's own. it was the strangest thing...it was pretty noticeable too. maybe wait a few days and see what happens? good luck!
I would think it just soaked into the top layer of your clearcoat. Not the paint. It's only birdchit. Should go away after a wash and some sunlight, and maybe a fresh wax on that spot.

Black ones have it too... i have to unfortunately park under the tree and everytime i get the car cleaned its like the bird have a radar and they will attack it by the next day!!
its crazy.... and even after you clean it well ... some marks remain!
Clay and if that doesn't work a light polish like Vanilla Moose hand glaze, but hit the whole panel not just that specific area.
I have a bottle of Poorboys BirdSh!t Remover spray in my road kit to spray on the BS when it hits the car. I don't know if they sell it anymore but just mix up a bottle of 3:1 of any carwash you use and get it on the droppings ASAP.

I just got the car not even 2 weeks old it raining now so I figure it will go away. I cleaned the area with bug wash and wax the next day I didn't see it so I'm thankful. What Wash and Wax's you use? If you have stone interior do you have seat covers?
Good news IPs! Those yellow spots disappear after a few days. I tried everything to get em off (goo gone, goof off, goof off 2, alcohol, wax, vinegar, clay bar) nothing worked, but they just went away over time so dont worry!
-Wash
-Clay
-Paint Cleaner (Klasse AIO)
If this fails, it can either be removed by wetsanding (wouldn't recommend) or parking in the sun. The sun will bleach out the dyes in the ****.
