i dont remember if it was the same guy or not, and im too lazy to look, but maybe it was the same guy who had a post saying that on his old 996 TT he followed the recommended break-in procedure and ended up having to put a quart of oil in it every month..... so for his new M5, with 6 miles on the odo. he took it onto the highway and floored it until hitting triple digits, redlined it a few times, launched it a few times, etc.... all as a TEST to see if that would work better to break an engine in.....................
........... i guess its nice to have the money to run a potentially FATAL test on a german v10 engine

3M Swirl Mark Remover is also a glaze, I believe. On my 03 G, I once did an application of 3M Rubbing Compound, and then an application of 3M Swirl Mark Remover, and topped it off with a coat of Zaino I believe. The 3M products were used in an attempt to remove/reduce hairline scratches and swirl marks, but they did not work too well for me.
BMW uses a higher quality paint than on our G's that is less inclined to develop swirls and hairline scratches. P21S is an amazing wax, and that M5 is probably brand-spankin-new...I bet when those pictures were taken, that was probably the car's first time seeing daylight.
