Bird poop stains?

I went to open my door today and there was bird poop. So i got a wet paper towel and tried to take it off. It took off what was sticking out but the paint seemed to be stained a bit. I tried clay and wax. It soart of worked a bit and its hard to tell its there but I can see it just a bit on my IP. My question is does the wax just cover it up for a bit, I rubbed it a lot, and if so, how can I take it off. Also, would it come out after a few washes on its own?

The acid from the poop etched the paint.

It'll disappear by itself after sitting out in the sun a couple days.

I second that. Same for the little yellow bee-blops.

I concur. I have a nice stain on my hood. Most of the time you can't see it, but if you look at it with direct sunlight, you can see the outline of where it was

Which is why I go out of my way to never park under trees, light poles, etc. I carry microfiber towels and detail spray in the trunk, but if you get nailed while you're inside the building, and it bakes on... You're screwed.

I have a spot on my G's trunk that never came off. Any ideas of products that would fix this. I have tried a lot of products with no luck.

I just posted yesterday about this but these stains can be unbearable when you care for your vehicle as much as we all do, so I wanted to post my removal method. While sometimes the marks etch too deep to be buffed out, I have buffed these marks out of many vehicles. To get rid of the "ring" you will most likely need a good two step polish. The first polish is a medium cutting polish (like the Poorboy's World SSR 2.5, Menzerna Intensive Polish) that will smooth out the clear coat. Then follow it up with a light cutting polish (Poorboy's World SSR 1.0, Menzerna Final Polish II) to make sure the surface is nice and glossy again and optically clear. A buffer will help but it can be done by hand as well. Clay bar will not remove these marks but only help remove any contamination left behind. Waxes will only cover these marks not actually fix them and cleaner waxes are really just light polishes which will help but is probably not cutting enough.

Hope this helps!

I mistakenly parked under a light post at the airport for a few days during which time a seagull convention apparently took place which hosed the entire rear half of my coupe. I took the Porter Cable 7424 after it and it now looks better than new.

i just got a bird poop stain today and my car was in the hot sun. i live in new orleans, louisiana and thats pretty hot. maybe around 90 something degrees. it was on my car while i was in school which should be about 7hrs. i got home and washed it right away and applied SCRATHCHX but it still has stains if you look really close in the light.
