That would be ZERO.
No doubt but the real point is that there are better products made for the job. Don't mean to sound too opinionated, and I think these discussion are very useful but why risk using a $1.59 product on a $35,000 car. I guess I just trust my investment to the people that understand the true chemical composition and effects that they can have especially when the products that are recommeded are not exactly expensive. A "cleaner / polish" like Meguiar's costs about $8. It will fully remove the wax, rejuvenate the paint and fully prep the finish for new wax. The time and effort is worth the extra expense. The results are priceless.

Experiment with both approaches and tell me what you see. Do half of your hood with each and then examine the clarity and brilliance.

IMHO : The right tool for the job always gives you the best results.

Not completely however, its better to use a dedicated paint cleaner to strip wax, or an IPA/water solution

Surprised

With such a beautiful automobile, I can not believe most owners are not using a recommended car soap and automotive type finish enhancers. My company sells directly to body shops a entire kit of car products. You can purchase most of these at professional automotive paint stores at a reasonable price. These products are tested and designed to work on todays clearcoats. I would recommend using the products made for cars not dishes.

I've used Dawn to wash cars for the last 16 years because I read an article in Car and Driver that said using Dawn was okay. I waxed my wife's G35 and my car with Meguiar's in September and have washed them weekly with Dawn since then. Guess what, the water still beeds up when they get wet, so doesn't that mean that the wax is still on the car? I'm pretty sure that means that the wax is still there, so I'm callling conspiracy theory on this Dawn strips the wax off of your car myth.
