Window Tint in San Diego

Anybody have a recomendation for a good tint shop in San Diego? Discover gave me the name of the shop that they use but it is over $350 to tint all 5 windows.

Thanks!

That does seem high. Last time I had a car tinted, the total was $400.. but it was 5 windows, plus an alarm system with installation.

What place is $350? I'm in SD, too. I haven't tinted my G35 yet.

Ouch! I'm in south Florida and when I had a similar-sized car tinted professionally (albeit this was 5 years ago), it only cost' me $150. It was a very good tint job too that lasted the whole time I had the car and had a lifetime guarantee.

Go to Tint Devil or Detail Works. Both are in San Diego, Miramar area. They did an excellent job on my 300Z.

The place is called Alvin O's. It is in Kearny Mesa, it is the shop that Discover uses for all of it's tint work. It's pricey but at least you know they have tinted G's before and should have it wired.

I will check out Tint Devil and Detail Works....

Thanks guys!

I got mine done through a company called Solar Care. They were recommended by La Jolla Audio. They did my integra back in 1996. Still perfect (no bubbles or fading) when I sold the car this year. So I had him do my G35 sedan. He did all 5 windows (rear window, 2 rear side windows, and 2 small rear stationary windows) for $225. He used Llumar 15%, but he sells other tints as well. No problem with FM reception. A bit more noise (static)when driving under power lines in AM reception. He did it at my work. Great job....

I found a place on Miramar called Diamond Services. I did all seven windows for $269 and no tax. I went with 35% on the rear 5 windows and 50% on the 2 front windows. I picked Llumar's new non-metallic film called Llumastar. It has a lifetime warranty against color fading and has no negative affects on radio reception. It looks great so far, maybe I should have gone darker (15%) but I like the look of the 35%.
