Polish or Glaze?

Ok, here's what I'm confused about. Is there really a difference between polishing your car prior to waxing and glazing prior to waxing? I can't seem to find the answer to this question. Here's what I do when I detail my car:
1) Wash
2) Use clay bar
3) Use Meguiar's paint cleaner (no wax)
4) Use Omega Glaze
5) Use One Grand Blitz Wax

I thought I was covering all angles by following this method. Any suggestions?

Read the link and decide if you still want to go with meguiars.

Most here will tell you Crystal Guard or Zaino. I chose the latter, but that is not to say CG isn't great.
The link is from an NSX forum, and clearly the guy's only bias was towards the product he spent a lot of money on, which in the end did not win, but more revealing was how poor a job mother nature did vs. polymers.

Cheers,
Derek

Not to get off-topic, but why are you using the paint cleaner after the clay bar? That's like a waste of time (they are both supposed to accomplish the same thing); I would use one or the other, but not both. Just my honest opinion.

Re: Polish or Glaze?

Agreed that is doubling the workload. I would use the claybar and then polish.
