no this is what they are used for. Its not used to wash the car or wax it. When your done washing your car lets say you go out and a bird craps on your car. You spray it and wipe. Or another example is when you have tree sap, finger prints etc. you just spray and wipe. Its a better way to keep your car clean. But only used for the body of the car. Not wheels or windows. Good on chrome thou. hopefully this helped

ok so are quick detail sprays safe to be sprayed over a layer of wax or does it have to be applied on a newly fresh washed surface?

so this will get rid of bird poop, sap, bugs, fingerprints, water spots, etc and things like that as well? what brand do you guys recommend?

 

ok you know when you go to the auto show? and there is a guy that stands next to the cars with a little bottle and cloth, and everytime you put your greasy hands on one of the cars leaving a smudge, he comes over and wipes it off?

that little bottle is quick detial spray and is used in between washes, to add shine or take care of little jobs of dirt. so your car would be waxed when you use it of course.

 

They work pretty well.

I always keep a bottle and cloth in my trunk. Wipe it down when needed. It gets rid of water spots nicely.

some qd sprays have no carnuba. personally i like z6 and eagle one wipe and shine. obviously since these have no carnuba, they won't be considered wax.

 

No can be used if you have wax or dont. But i foun dout it works better when you have waxed the car already. Sorry for the spelling but get the Meguires one. I use that one its the best i think. Smells good too

ahhh i see, so it doesnt matter if the car is waxed or not? thats the one i just bought, meguiars quick detail...

will it remove bug stains and sap stains as well? can it be used on the plastic trimmings around the window area?

 

Yes, it removes bug stains and tree sap too, but I recommend doing an actual car wash to get tree sap off, unless you just have a little spot of it (i.e. not all over the hood/roof, etc.).

it depends.
for example i polish / seal my car with klasse and it is acrylic based and i have to use an acrylic based detailing spray so i use this stuff called sonus and it protects and shines, but you can not use it over natural waxes such as carnuba.

yes, when i wash my car with soap and water it removes sap. also try not to park under trees that makes everything easier.

cg i am not sure about, zaino i believ has a detail spray made for it, and mequires yes.
