How to clean a cloudy headlight?

Hey guys, I got a new headlight recently and I noticed that my older one compared to the new one is very... cloudy? How would you recommend cleaning the film off the top? Windex didnt seem to work.

this has been discussed several times. have you tried searching?

use plexiglass cleaner. if the damage (cloudiness) is on the outside then this will take care of most of it. i use the one made by bluemagic and it works great.

but yeh..this has been discussed search is your friend!

Plexiglass cleaner? Just use Mothers mag polish. Same shiat Using mothers mag polish to restore headlights was actually an old secret I leared from domestic muscle car people who restored their cars. I also know of some people who use them on their paintball masks lol!

LOL! Its the same shiat! They contain the same exact thing. And if hes got Mothers mag pollish laying around, then he doesnt have to go out and by the same thing under a different label! lol

ooohh... my bumper again?!?! Trying to start something here? Give me your bumper as a loaner and I will. btw, my bumper doesnt look THAT bad! I just have so many rock chips, that theres no more paint on it, and now its just starting to look like a bumper that only has primer on it

I purchased some polish and went at it with my PC. It turned out great....took about 30 minutes total for both.

Thumbs up PlastX !

There's a TSB on this topic:
http://www.infinitihelp.com/Ownershi.../ITB02-031.htm

I got some Meg's PlastX from Autozone and used a clean MF towel... cleared up the haze nicely. This hazing is a problem with '04... so much so that Infinit put out a TSB!

It depends on what polish you buy. Be careful as it might leave minute scratches on the lense.

-----------

Try Novus polish. They have a 3 stage kit.

Your friendly neighborhood body shop can usually give you a small touch-up bottle of fine cut polishing compound. Works great!
