can you layer meguiars NXT wax?
According to Meg's you can...but it will be diminishing returns as NXT has a small amount of cleaner in it. I'd suggest that you might want to try putting some glaze on first (after a good cleaning / polish) and then NXT. I use Meg #7 Show car glaze and then either NXT or thier #26 pure carnuba. Either works great.

...The amount of cleaner in NXT is small. The glaze is mostly oil-based and is a more resistant than wax. Glaze is meant to rejuvenate the paint finish. You could top NXT with the glaze as well but you really want to apply it on a clean finish.
I'm also questioning if I should layer NXT wax over a sealant. I heard that NXT wax has cleaners but does anyone have white papers on how powerful the cleaning agents are? I wanted to top off NXT wax over meguiars synthetic sealant but I'm afraid of stripping sealant away.

meguiarsonline.com is a great site, and these types of questions have been answered many times before, so if you do a search over there I think you will get a better answer than wat is provided here because there aren't many meguiars users here, everyone seems to be on the zaino bandwagon.

As far as topping, I would use one of their longer lasting sealants such as #20/#21 topped with nxt for the best results, since NXT doesn't last very long. The combo will provide ~3-4 months of protection and should be followed up with nxt every month or so since thats about the longest i've seen it last.
...good catch - I should have said #26 is all wax, no cleaners.. That was the point of my comment on topping the glaze. Have you found any place that sells #21 synth in something smaller than 64 oz? I'd like to try it..
From what I've read and been told, layering NXT is useless. Each additional layer strips the previous one. For the best results you should use carnauba wax on your car then top it with NXT. That being said I only use NXT because I dont feel like using the carnuaba. One coat seems great for me.
Good call picus, I don't particularly care for NXT, as the results aren't great and don't last very long. I prefer to use #20 only since my car is a metallic, but on my old red prelude, I would use #20 topped with s100
