I use The Big Blue Towel (microfiber) to dry my car and it's the best thing out there. And, it dries the whole car without having to wring it out once! My wash mitt is also made of microfiber.

As far as swirl marks, the key is to use a non-circular motion when washing and drying the car. Wash and dry in straight lines (up-down, left-right, never in a circle).

Tried the absorber but it didn't work for me - just seemed to spread the water around. Maybe it was my technique. Got the big blue microfiber towel & it works great. No more water spots. Got the microfiber mitt too & it is very soft. Both are worth the money IMO.
Tried both the 100% cotton & the microfiber pads/towels for Zaino. Didn't notice much difference on the application but I found the microfiber easier to use in removing the Zaino.

I use a sponge and rinse it constantly with the hose too. And then I take an Absorber and fold it all up so that it is flat against the car as I very gently wipe in one direction. A crunched up Absorber can have a possibility to create very fine scratches in the paint from what I have heard. Keep it flat. And then I take a microfibre towel and I fold it up the same way and buff the car very genlty afterward to get the car to a high gloss. But I try not to over buff, just enough to get the job done. Does anyone else buff? I am using my Zymol Japon Creame tomorrow(no one else seems to use Zymol here) and I'll take pictures and post so you can see. I am curious to see what y'all are going to think.

I've used Zymol before. It is really good and rather inexpensive too which is always good.
I normal wash with the microfiber mit and then try with the microfiber towels.
I have a new product I'm trying that is supposed to be similar to Zaino. It's called 5-Star. I'm going to wash and then 5-Start the car this weekend. It's supposed to cover all scratches and things and then work as a polymer compound or something so that nothing will really stick to it. All that I will have to do to wash the car is just run a hose over it and wipe with a microfiber mit. Shouldn't have to wax for a couple years either. We'll see how well it works.

yup, i follow the wise words of ramborami whether it deals with washing off the sponge or squeezing the excess CG onto your hood/roof.

Go buy a couple packages of cotton diapers, they work great, I started using those on my '97 F150 which was the "original" Torreador Red (maroon) and that showed marks almost as bad as black does, plus, they are extremely absorbent, and they last, been using the same ones for 6 years now, if memory serves me right, I had to wash them prior to using the first time, I also use those for removing wax, again, never left any marks on that vehicle!
