To early to Clay bar?
I have 5000 mi on my Gcoupe black. I get alot of sap here its not the bad eating sap but still leaves the little dots. My hood feels rouch even after a good wash.
I have never clay bar before so I do not know if I should do it so early.
If so can somone tell me what I will need and maybe a good product to buy thanks..

It's never to early..........almost!
Most autoparts stores will carry the clay bar and lube
required to complete the job. The MOST important
part of the job is following the instructions to the
letter! Sometimes it's better to let a pro do the job
if you've never done detail work before.

Here is a great write up on using a clay bar for beginners: http://www.guidetodetailing.com/arti...p?articleId=14
I clayed my G the first weekend that I had it. If you use plenty of lube it is almost impossible to do any damage. If you are not sure, use more. The clay should just glide over the paint. Don't use any pressure other than the weight of the clay.
To answer your question, it's never too "early" to clay. So much crap gets on the car between the factor and the car. On top of that you have 5000 miles. It is definitely time. After that do it once or twice a year.
Just make sure you protect the car afterward. I used the Mother's three step system then topped it with a coat of Megs NXT. It looks FRIGGEN awesome. Thats a wash, dry, clay, polish, seal/glaze, wax, wax.

As part of my "new car prep", I clay the car - it's the most important part imo. Cars are shipped on a boat then by rail; they get lots of junk on them. I always recommend claying as soon as you get a car.
