tire dressing
Hey fellow G'ers. I am a baby G'er (only had my black G for 2 months) I am looking for the best tire dressing to use for keeping the wet look longer. I am curious what the rest of you use. Now if I could only get the front brake dust to quit messing up my wheels.
Any recommendations???

Re: tire dressing
Nothing I have evre used before has come close to the longevity of the Meguiars Endurance gel...at least I thinkthat's the name. You can go with a clean black look or add a little more for the shiny look, and it does last quite a while, weeks.

Re: tire dressing
I use Meguiar's Endurance Gel also - works great. I use WheelWax (TM) to minimize the brake dust and make the wheels easy to clean. Brake dust comes off easy with a sponge and rags with just Meguiar's car wash solution and water.

I tried this some time ago, I may have used it wrong, but it made my tires way too shiny, did I maybe use too much? I just like them "black, black looking" not wet looking! What do you think?

Re: tire dressing
Oh, hmmmm, maybe that is what I got, I'll have to check, I did have a lot of "sling" from it for sure, I had forgotten about that, I think that is the real reason I didn't like it, got on my wheels and really collected brake dust. (on my '00 Mustang GT)

Re: tire dressing
IMO, any foam tire dressing works great. Make sure you dry the tire completely, and then spray the foam on the tire applicator. Use the applicator to wipe it on the tire. Apply multiple layers for a shiny/glossy look. Make sure you let it dry, before you drive the car. Prefferably, let it dry over night. The best part about this application is you don't get any overspray on the side panel of your car and doesn't create any mess. It only sticks to your tire!
