How long before first wax

How long did most of you wait before your first wax job? I have had my coupe for 2 months now. I was thinking around the 3 month mark!

Re: How long before first wax

If I understand it right, the car is on a ship for a while, not sure how long the trip takes, so by the time you get it, it is probably over a month old already, plus whatever time it may have sat on the lot, my last three vehicles were special orders, and I got them within a week or so of their build date, I waited two months to wax those, and it was fine!

The paint is baked, or cured, at the factory. You can wax it the minute you get it home.

Now, if you have to have a local body shop repaint part of it for some reason or other, there may be a delay before you can rewax that section. My body shop told me 6 weeks when I had my rear bumper replaced.

You can wax it now. The paint is cured at the factory.
