NEVER and I mean NEVER go through an automatic car wash that touches your car. If you absolutely have no choice, go through a touchless wash. Unless you like swirls and crappy looking paint.

First, welcome you to the G35 club. Being a member, if you have any questions about your car, these guys are pretty good and friendly even sometime they sound a bit hostile or goofy but all good. About your car wash, I would like to do by hand, dont wash your car under a hottest time of the day, otherwise, you would have water spots on your windshield and paint, they are harder to clean later on. I would suggest to do it while the weather is cool, warm so you would have a time to dry with a microfil towel. Dont use regular bath towel because you would make a mess with these cotton and if there is few sands on your car, plus regular towel would like apply sand paper your car. Dont let all the glasses, windows, mirror dry by themselves, dry them and apply your windex before they cool off, so no chance for water spot. Depend on your paint condition, you would wash it first then apply some sort of quick detail spray and wax it off with a shop towel or microfil towel. For your interior, there are two clean liquid/sprays that you would need; one for interior cleaner-dashboard, steering and everything inside except your leader seats. For your leather seat, you would have the leather cleaner, this help your leather seats from get too dry during the summer time......
Anyhow, I bet you wouldn't want to wash your care after you read this information from me; it take a lot of personal car if you want your ride clean and smooth. Unless you want to pay $30 for someone wash and clean your car, but then, where is fun about it! :-)
Let me know if you want to know the best brand for car cleaning and stuffs.
