I have asked this question before but never got a definitive answer on whether the common vertical grease streaks on my windows will affect my tint. I plan on getting my windows tinted soon so I need to know the answer. Thanks for the help.

 

if you're talkin bout the grease problem our cars have when we leave our windows midway and have a line then, no, with exceptions. tints are applied on the inside of the window, the grease usually gets all over the outside of it, so no contact. the tints will, however make the grease marks stand out more being that the windows are now darker. ps. tell your friends to get their greasy *** heads of your windows, i plan on posting a sign in my car hahaha

 

i just got a tint, not problems with grease

only problem i got is that when i try to put the windows down the rubber folds over and my window can barely go down....

lame.

 

I had that problem, and i took it into the dealership and they said that it was caused (at least for me) by the felt getting pulled down inside of the door and rubbing on the window. This was on the inside, and it did not effect my tint. They had to replace the whole door pannel to fix the problem, at least it was covered by the warrenty =)
