Seat Scratched

How much do you guys think a scratch like this will cost to fix?:

You can really feel the scratch and it's jagged. Will they have to replace the whole seat ?

Welcome to the club. I don't think it can be fixed without replacing the entire seat cover. If there's an easier and cheaper fix, I'm interested too!

I'm just curious to know how much something like this would normally cost, because I do have the Interior Protection package so it'll be no cost for me to get it replaced. With the package I'm protected from accidental burns, scratches, rips and stains inside my car.

cant you just use some leather care type product on it and
nurish it?

www.griotsgarage.com

LeatherCare cream works well to hide scratches.

the topcoat of that leather has been damaged and there is no fix really, get a new seat cover if it bothers you. A good time to have them reupolstered in suede also

If I were you, I'd live with it, just hit it with some conditioner to blend it better.

If I'm not mistaken, a new leather seat bottom runs about $2200.00
I'd go aftermarket like redlude said.....

I'd go aftermarket too, but then again I do have warranty for my interior and so I could get it replaced for free so why not. My dad bought some $500 exterior and interior protection package, which at the time I told him what a waste of $$$, but now I see it's worth it. All I wanted to know was that if it didn't spill over the $6000 range since that's the max. you can claim for the warranty.

Please let us know if you get this seat replaced under your "interior warranty." They usually have a lot of loop holes that dealers use to get out of honoring them. So, I'm curious to see if they'll actually cover this.

Will do. I've been reading the contract over and over again for the warranty info. and the only catch I found in the fine print was that claims cannot exceed $6000, other than that it says that they'll replace/repair the problem for free. Then again dealerships always do have ways to screw you over. Will keep everyone posted.

The point is the my dad purchased the interior protection plan with the G, therefore, which warrants it. The dealership is actually suppose to call us today to see what's up.
