Removing door protect molding on an 03 Coupe. Paint change?

Removing door protect molding on an 03 Coupe. Paint change?
I have an 03 coupe with factory door molding and desperately want to remove them, however I am worried about the paint underneath being less faded than the rest of the car. Ive heard meguire's scratch X will slightly help. I know theres no real fix, but if anyone has any advice whether or not I should remove them. Thanks

Its in the car sometimes but not all that much. Ill take off one, if scratch X and good wax doesnt help I'll just put it back on. Thanks for the info
