How to remove tar and stuff from paint?

Hi G-unit owners. I have some stubborn yellowish tar spots on my paint, they are like 1/8 inch dots. I tried washing and scrubbing with my fingers but they won't come off.... Then I tried ScratchX it says it can remove tar and stuff but after two applications it's still the same. Help. Thanks in advance.

Tough Call....?

First of all tar isn't yellow, it's black. The only thing I recall seeing on my car
that was yellow is the bee pollen which comes off with your fingernail. I've
seen rail dust that's a copper color but that's not on cars from the coast
due to POE! I know several that might work like clay or if that doesn't work
solvent following up with water immediately. Or you could find a good detail
guy in your area to be safe without damaging that IP paint!

Claying is pretty amazing. My brother ran over a puddle of paint in his 4-runner. I had read about the clay bar on this forum. So, I went out and bought a claying kit for him. It was amazing how that things works. Not only did it take the paint off, the finish is so smooth. It's a '97. Feels almost as smooth as my G. Follow BSlate's advice.

Btw BSlate. Don't you just love the color? It's blue in some light, black in some light, and gray in some light. It's awesome.

I have to say every different paint color have it's cool unique personality. Sometimes I wish I had a blue slate too. When IP shines under the sun, I love the sparkle of metallic paint which gives off trace green and purple color like soapy air bubble... pretty cool

IMPORTANT NOTE!!!! If you do use isopropyl alcohol... do not use it full strength (make sure to water it down)! Talking from experience on my last car ... your best bet is goo gone. I can personally vouch for goo gone; it's good stuff.

Is it tar or is it tire sling from your tire shine? I found WD-40 works wonders on removing tar/bug/spots from my Ivory Pearl finish.

Tar, when removed, will leave a yellow spot if not throughly cleaned. Try a little polish after and it should be gone.
Good luck

Clay will easily remove what you've described.

+1 on the wd40. Same stuff that's in the aerosal tar and bug remover can's you get at auto parts store. Remeber to just let it sit there for a minute and then use car soap and wash media to wash it off.

Thanks guys. I plan to try turtlewax's ICE clay bar, if it don't work I can always return it to walmart. Will update with result!

Dang!~ this is the craziest 'tar/oil whatever' spot I've dealt with in my life. Heh.
