What???? Its clearcoated. You don't have to wax paint that has clear coat over it.


Just kidding... I own a detail shop. I will not wax any paint that hasent cured for atleast 2 weeks.

2 weeks???? I really hope you meant 2 months, and even that's a month short of the norm. I've NEVER heard of paint curing in 2 weeks.

I guess everyone has their own thoughts... The local dealership I clean cars has told me for years to wait 2 weeks. So, when the fix a car that is going to be on their lot, they send it to me to clean, and then after 2 weeks they send it back for the wax (if they havent sold it yet).

dealerships are less concerned with ensuring a quality lasting finish, and more about having the car look good for sale, turnaround is too short for them to notice the effects of unoptimally cured paint

You can wash whenever you want. Just don't wax. In fact, I would NOT wait 30 days to wash.
