Blue jean stains

My willow leather is showing some minor (so far) light blue discoloring that seem to be the dye from wearing jeans.

Any recommendations on how to clean and what to use?

Re: Blue jean stains

http://www.properautocare.com/propleatcar.html I checked this link, and there is something about "coated or corinthian" leather at the bottom, what the hell is that, is this BS?
In reply to:

Some leather being used in domestic automobiles has a top veneer of vinyl. This should be considered a vinyl interior and treated with a vinyl dressing. Do not use a leather conditioner on vinyl topped leather. The conditioning oils can not penetrate the vinyl coating to reach the leather. If you're not sure if your car's leather is vinyl coated, check with your car dealer or the manufacturer.

There is so much contradictary information around these days, who knows what to believe anymore!

And, what I always did with a lighter interior color, was keep a towel or something in the car that I could sit on when I would be wearing something like denim, it's pretty hard to remove that!

Re: Blue jean stains

I know this doesn't help to fix the seats, but for future jean purchases, wash the hell out of them (go through 2 or 3 cycles) before you wear em. Most new jeans still have that dye in them.

oh and if these were not exactly new jeans that's doing this... then I dunno, but I haven't had that problem personally, and I wear pretty much exclusively jeans in my G.

Re: Blue jean stains

Hey guys, i have the same problem but i FIXED IT. I went out and bought some Turtle Wax Emereld Series leather cleaner and conditioner. I had to apply it several times but after enough tries i got ALL OF THE BLUE OUT. The inside of the car looks brand new and now i use the leather cleaner just about every week. Hope this helps.

Re: Blue jean stains

All clothes should be removed before entering the G. This will decrease the risk of staining or scratching the car

Re: Blue jean stains

When u sweat or it rains and your jeans get wet, maybe you could put something down under your butt to prevent the stains. Maybe keep a garbage bag or 2 in the back just in case you get soaking wet and dont want to even risk ruining the leather/

Re: Blue jean stains

Found an answer. It's cheap, easy and quick.

Mr Clean Magic Eraser

The blue dye came off in seconds.
