Its not bad for it and will not hurt the film. You just don't want to make a habit of reaching for alcohol everytime something gets on the film. You should also use light pressure only. If you dig hard into the film you can distort it as it gets softer.

The best way to care for the bra is to use a good past wax on it regularly with quick detailer in between. That way if something gets on the film it will wipe clean with a quick detailer with ease. You should also stay away from any yellow wax. These waxes will stain the film over time. They are good for the paint but not the urethane bra.

 

The sap that is really bad here, occurs in spring, from cottonwood trees, they sprout these sticky little "shells" that the leaves pop out, when the wind blows, even if your not under a tree, you get those, and they stick to everything, and leave a chunk of sap. LOL, over the years, I've tried everything to keep them from sticking, including waxing, and they still stick! And the only thing that will remove them is the isopropol, 91%.

 

Just make sure you dont rub on it to hard if you use alchohol. I have had people bring their cars back to me after they tried it and they put to much pressure on the cloth. It will scratch the film up pretty bad if the cloth is abrasive or dries out to quickly. Then their is nothing left to do but replace the piece.
