I have a ventureshield clearbra on my car and got hit by a huge rock today on the highway. It ended up ripping the bra and leaving a super small dent in my bumper. It did not mess any of the paint up though. When this happens, what is normally suggested? Fix the rock damage then redo the clear bra?

One question, how long do i have to wait after repainting a bumper to have the clear bra installed ?? i know you are not suppose to wax the car couple of months after repainted. Not sure if the same rule applies to the clear bra??

Ususally 30 days is a good rule of thumb. I will not install on a car unless it has been 30 days or I have talked to the body shop to make sure the panels were baked.

A week if its backed and about 60 days if not. Some will do it quicker but that is when you have problems if the film needs to be removed. Always ask your body shop.

Thanks for answering my question. The body shop told me 30 days before i can install the clear bra. When i call the shop which will install the clear bra for me told me i need to get the car detailed before bring it in. How intensive of the detailing do i need to perform? Can i use clay bar to the car and install the clear bra right after that??

oops forgot about this thread.. i got mine done at aerotect in may... got the deal to do the quarter hood, front bumper, pillars, and the trunk lip. I got the door cups done for an extra $20. Asked about how much it would be to do it for a front lip later and it's gonna be $80 installed. love it, it's great. so far so good. the plastic collects dust faster than normal (not sure if it's cuz of static or something), so I just have to polish it now and then with plexus and it's good, otherwise you can hardly see it, esp from the front. bird bombs stain it for a day and it usually goes away.

Depends on what you want. Bumper, whole front, whole front and partial hood and etc.

yah... mine was a $495 special they had for g35driver, and since they were local i didn't have to pay for shipping, and that includes a quarter hood bra, front bumper, pillars, mirrors, the trunk lip, and install. for a full hood the quote was around $1k. they don 't do the wrapping around the edges i read on here that some have, it's basically a precut template that goes over the car.

I got 1 question for those that had it done at aerotect, does your bra scratch easily? They told me all I need is a heat gun and the scratches should just come right off but I tried using a hair dyer for like 10 mins straight on an area and no good. Any of u guys have the same issues???
