A hair dryer is probably not going to get hot enough to help with scratches, but be carefull with a heat gun to not overheat the film.

You can always bring it by for us to look at. If there's just a small spot, we can probably just take care of it for you. If there's alot, the charge would be minimal.

The idea behind the film, is that the film takes the damage... instead of your paint.

Hey,

I am asking this question in mulitple "Clear Bra" threads in hopes someone can answer it.

I've had my G35 for almost a year now and am planning on getting a clear bra on just my front bumper. My question is after it's installed and when I go to wax/detail my car, will the rest of the car be shinnier/glossier than the front bumper (where the clear bar is installed)?

Thnx in advance.

Hi
It depends on the clear bra product I think...I got the venture shield clear bra put on and when its washed and waxed clean...there is no way to tell that there is a layer unless you see on the edges where it was applied.... hope this helps.

So you're saying that even though the wax never touches the sections underneath the clear bra, it will still look as glossy as the rest of the car? I'm just afraid my car will come out two-tone!

There are very slight pores on the clear bra product..this is what I was told by the installer... there is a little bit of breathing room for the metal underneath.... when waxed the wax will hold the film against the car better...
so there is a little bit of maintenance necessary to keep it glossy.....if not washed and waxed ...then the film might get dry and easily visible and looks awful. my $.02
