clearbra wax buildup

so along the edges of the clear bra on my hood, and other areas, i have some wax build up. I use a caranauba wax that is called S100, amazing wax. but what do you guys recommend to get it off the edges? a toothpick? i would use one but i am scared that i might mess up the paint. any other idea? thanks in advance!!

do you use any products on the cloth? or just a clean dry cloth/microfiber?

For future applications, apply by wiping away from the clearbra edge rather than towards it, this prevents this from occuring

I use a 2" paintbrush with the brisles cut to about half an inch in length, make sure if you use one you use electrical tape around the metal bristle holder so you don't add a scratch to the G. it gets wax out of rock chips too..

A micro fiber cloth with quick detailer on it works great.

I use Q-tips. Bit I highly recommend not using wax on it. Wax will yellow over time and it will build up in the clear bra film. Use Zaino and you wont have that problem.

Wax will yellow. If you dont believe me, take your car out, wash it with dawn and watch the yellow water roll off. Wax will get into the clearbra material, build up, and cause it to yellow. So I do not recommend to any of my customers to use wax on it. I have been using Zaino for years and have never had one yellow on me.

Most wax is petroleum based. You are not supposed to use petroleum products on clear plastic(ie clear bra, airplane windows or old convertible rear windows). The petroleum gets stuck in the pores of the plastic and turn it yellow over time. Meguiars makes a clear plastic wax, so does plexus. I don't know if zaino is petroleum based.

Only yellow wax seems to stain the film. All other waxes are fine.
