As you all know, our beloved G35 does not come in LeMans Sunset (Burnt Orange) color. I was wondering if anyone knows how much it would cost to get a new paint job [img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img]
I think the G would look absolutely stunning with that color!
I am willing to shell out $2,500 USD....just wondering if anyone knows how much a paint job like this would cost??

I agree with Merlin, my local guy here estimated about $6000 to $8000 and the paint job is much better than factory..If you would like to bargain he can do the job half the price but you have to sign a waiver..

 

Yeah I would say at least $5000 for a decent job. Maybe more.

 

I just saw an Acura CL S type in that color and it looked pretty good I thought. But $5000??? Ouch! It better be a flawless job.

 

The S types have that color as a factory option.

Persoanlly, I think its hideous, but to each his own.

 

It should be flawless. With that kind of money, you have to realize they're taking all the body panels off the car and painting and baking them.. no masking tape, and the paint wraps around the edges. When they're done, you shouldn't be able to find the old paint color hiding anywhere. Of course, you could always get a $300 tape-n-spray job done.. that should last about a year before it starts peeling off.

I think you need to add another 1000 for ghost flames and I forgot how much datons and hydrolics are [img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img] jk.

that is a sweet color, burnt tangerine or burnt orange, very very nice. My friend has a bike this color.

If you can try to get the shop to add a few more layers of clear coat. makes the paint job look so deep and that candy effect.

for something like that, try to find a deal, but don't go too cheap.. cuz in the end, you get what you pay for.. for a really quality and lasting job, be ready to shell out several G's..
also, make sure you get a good warranty w/ it.. if anything were to happen, not that it should, you can take it back and they'll fix it for you. oh.. do not take it to MAACO.. that place is just ridiculous..
