Simple question for those of you who detail as a second job/hobby for some pocket change... just curious...
What do ya'll charge for your services? Such as:
- Wash
- Clay
- Polish (Swirl Removal)
- Glaze
- Sealing
- Wax
- Wheels
- Interior
Of course, sometimes you just do a whole package together and slap a price on that all together.
I used to have my own lil' detailing "business", but I was wondering if I was charging too little.
Plus, I used to do G35's for free.

for free? where you @ lolz... I could use a detail so bad... more importantly... I could use someone who is mad pro @ it to show me how to properly detail my car... I would pay for that knowledge

Yeah, I did G35's for free, but usually the owners were so happy with the detail, they'd tip me about $60. Other cars, I'd charge... but they still gave a nice tip most of the time. But since it's not an actual "business", I'm not obligated to serve any customer. For example... I don't cater to ricers... or people who I know and just don't like. Originally Posted by shabarivas

Old good friends, I gave discounts to. Some friends I just consider "acquaintances" I didn't give discounts to. Probably because they're buttholes.

$150-$220 depending on the condition of the car and to what level of finish they wanted

for the whole package it can get up into the $500 range. i would say the average detail though would be around $250-$300. i offer 3 different packages for exterior, and three different packages for interior and this leaves the customer with something that will fit their budget. i also give generous discounts to certain people.
Wow, for just a wash, clay, wax... including wheels, tire shine, vacuuming the interior... I charged $150 (for sedans). Should I charge more?

Oh, c'mon guys... This thread is to get feedback from fellow detailers on how much they charge.
If you need any information on how to detail, you should search/ask on this thread:
