SEDAN: Engine Dress up w/performance

OK.... this post will be a work in progress. I will post some historical pixes and continue as I make some real nice
changes in the upcoming weeks.

NOV 03:
Just added the 350z tube and beta test of the Thermo-Tec Heat Shield.

April 04:
Crawford Plenum and Earl's Pro-Lite 350 hoses (hoses installed in Dec 03). 350z duct Heat Shield removed...

May 04:
added right side btty cover, nismo oil and rad cap and the v.2 Heat Shield (thanks Wing!)

Crazy more to to come... stay tuned!!!

Cheers, ted

Re: SEDAN: Engine Dress up w/performance

Nice work Ted!

I'm waiting for my plenum.CORE SQUATTERS - SEND 'EM BACK!!! (Promised Doug I'd do that). I ordered red to match my grounding wires and engine cover. Are you cutting the engine cover to fit over the plenum? Also where did you get the right side battery cover?

Thanks,

Paul

Re: SEDAN: Engine Dress up w/performance

ordered the right side cover from Strictly Z (the owners of this website) You will see their banner up top, or go to strictlyz.com

They have already modified it to fit our cars, as opposed to ordering it from Japan and having to cut it yourself.

As I said above, I have some crazy plans for the dress up I just have to get my timing together!! And yes, "a" plenum cover, Gordgee's GroundGear, and the SAMCO hoses (whenever the he11 they get here!) will also be a part of the dress up/performance mods. That's it, I ain't saying more!

I plan to have the entire thing done in time for July 10th HD in san diego.... end of May is my personal goal.

Cheers, ted

Hey SoCalTed...Love your car!! question: are you considering painting your battery cover(s) to match? Here is what I mean. I have an Ivory pearl, and I want to go with Blue accents (hoses, wires) just like yours. What i was thinking was Painting the battery cover as, Ivory and then the 'door' the same color blue as the hoses? whats your opinion?

Re: SEDAN: Engine Dress up w/performance

yes.. that's in the works.

However, it will be professionally done. I don't like the flat look of regular spray paint. a pro job will have some elastics/rubberizer in the mix.

there is a thread around here on folks painting their covers. I would recommend you check out Rob (Zpresence) on 350frenzy.com (check out this link)
